Stop H.R.9495 - Stop the Attack on Nonprofits
Join us in urging Congress to defend nonprofits and the communities they serve.
Nonprofits employ 12.5 million Americans and are essential to advocating for justice and providing critical services (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2023). H.R.9495 threatens to revoke their tax-exempt status based on vague and unsubstantiated claims, silencing their advocacy. Tell Congress to vote NO on this harmful bill and protect the organizations that uplift marginalized communities and drive meaningful change.
Demand Congress Pass S.4991 - George Floyd Justice in Policing Act of 2024
Join us in urging the Senate to enact bold reforms for justice and accountability in policing.
Over 1,000 people are killed by police each year in the United States, with Black Americans disproportionately impacted—2.9 times more likely to be victims of police violence compared to white Americans (Mapping Police Violence, 2023). S.4991 will ban dangerous practices like chokeholds, end racial profiling, mandate body cameras, and reform qualified immunity to hold officers accountable. Urge the Senate to pass this critical legislation and ensure policing systems that serve and protect all communities.
Demand Congress Pass H.R.4118 - Break the Cycle of Violence Act
Join us in urging Congress to invest in community-led solutions that break the cycle of violence.
Gun violence claims over 45,000 lives annually and costs the U.S. economy $280 billion each year (CDC, 2023). H.R.4118 funds evidence-based violence prevention programs that reduce shootings by up to 60% (John Jay College of Criminal Justice). These community-led initiatives heal neighborhoods and save lives. Tell Congress to pass this vital bill now.
Demand Congress Pass S.25 - Assault Weapons Ban
Join us in urging Congress to ban military-style assault weapons and save lives.
Assault weapons are used in 25% of mass shootings but account for 76% of injuries and deaths, amplifying the devastation (Everytown for Gun Safety, 2023). Since the 1994 federal assault weapons ban expired, mass shooting fatalities have increased by 347% (Journal of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery). S.25 will prohibit the sale, transfer, and manufacture of military-style firearms and high-capacity magazines—proven to save lives. Demand Congress pass S.25 to protect families and prevent further tragedies.
Demand Congress to Pass S.4 - John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act
Tell Congress to protect voting rights and ensure every voice is heard.
Since the Supreme Court’s 2013 decision in Shelby County v. Holder, over 1,500 polling places have closed, disproportionately affecting Black and Brown voters (Leadership Conference Education Fund, 2023). Additionally, 425 restrictive voting laws have been introduced nationwide, targeting marginalized communities (Brennan Center for Justice, 2023). S.4 restores critical Voting Rights Act protections, preventing voter suppression and ensuring equal access to the ballot. Tell Congress to pass S.4 and defend our democracy today.
